Levofolinate

Levofolinate Impurities

Levofolinate (L-folinic acid, the active enantiomer of folinic acid) is typically used as a chemoprotective agent in methotrexate therapy and as a modulator in cancer treatment. Its impurity profile consists of structurally similar analogs, residual solvents, and degradation products. These impurity products can be formed under stress conditions such as hydrolysis, oxidation, and photolysis. Typical degradation pathways of Levofolinate API involve oxidative breakdown of the pteridine ring, hydrolytic cleavage of ester bonds, and rearrangement of aromatic substituents. These impurities may affect the potency, stability, and safety of the drug. Therefore, all the Levofolinate impurities are structurally characterized and qualified according to ICH guidelines for toxicological assessment and analytical validation.

Levofolinate EP Impurities

We synthesize the pharmacopeial and non-pharmacopeial Levofolinate impurity compounds that are available in compliance with European Pharmacopoeia (EP) specifications. These standards can support the analytical method development, impurity profiling, and long-term stability studies. Therefore, the EP traceable materials are supplied with validated analytical data, including purity, structural confirmation, and spectral characterization.

Levofolinate Related Compounds

Structurally related compounds and synthetic analogs of Levofolinate are included for impurity identification, toxicological qualification, and regulatory submission. These related substances are used in forced degradation studies, genotoxicity assessments, and impurity threshold evaluations of Levofolinate drug products. Hence, the Levofolinate related compounds are essential for understanding the impurity profile and ensuring compliance with regulatory limits.

Levofolinate Impurity Reference Standards

We also synthesize Levofolinate impurity reference standards that are provided with validated analytical data, including purity, NMR, MS, and full Certificates of Analysis. These standard compounds are useful in pharmaceutical research, method validation, and GMP-compliant quality control. In addition to this, we provide the EP/USP traceable compounds that are available upon request and are routinely retested to ensure consistency and reliability.
